UNI Tennis Club

   The UNI Tennis Club was started in the fall semester of 2005. It was started with the mission to provide tennis players here at UNI the opportunity to further their tennis play and give them a chance to continue playing the game they love. Members of the UNI Tennis Club will have opportunities for both competitive and non-competitive play. We plan to have tournaments and matches among us players here at UNI, as well as many options for competitive play against other colleges here in Iowa. Some of the other colleges we hope we will be playing in the spring include: ISU, Simpson, Graceland, Grinnell, Wartburg, St. Ambrose, and more. Through this process we hope much of the tennis playing population here at UNI can get to know eachother, as that is a major goal of this club.

   The main purposes of the UNI Tennis Club are to allow participants more avenues to play the game of tennis. There will be social, instructional, and competitive tennis offerings that should allow all semi-competitive to competitive tennis players to find what they're looking for. Also, this club will give some participants the opportunity to further competitive high-school like play against other club tennis teams around Iowa.
